6 MONTHS OLD

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever"
1 Chronicles 16:34

Graham - You are six months old! Can't believe it! What are you up to these days??????????

- You weigh over 17 lbs.

- You are wearing 6-9 months clothes, however, some of your 6 mo. clothing is too small.

- You are sitting up for short periods.....you sit up longer each day.

- You are reaching for everything now.

- You grunt when you want something and can't get to it.

- You're teething and have been for WEEKS.. I bet you'll get a tooth soon.

- You love to get out of the house and ride in the stroller.

- You love eating fruit, squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots....such a good eater :)

- You love for us to talk to you...you smile SOO big and get excited.

- You've babbled "ma-ma" :)

- You want so badly to crawl...it won't be long.

- You are still sleeping so well...you take about an hour nap in the morning and a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. Some nights you wake up, but most of the time you sleep from 9pm - 7 am:)

- You are so curious about everything...it's like you are always studying everything around you..I wonder all the time what your thinking about

I can't believe that in 6 more months you'll be a year old. I'm already thinking of ideas for your first birthday party!!! Can't wait!

THE LOOK

Well, Graham is known to give us a certain look before he gets upset. I finally got a picture of it tonight. It is so funny. So here it is.......

Are you ready.............

And here he was 2 minutes later.........:)

He has such a personality! Graham and a I stayed the night at his Gigi's house last night and he was so much fun. We went and ate Italian and shopped for the rest of the evening. He just laughed and played with his Gigi and I all night . Jeremy and his Dad have been at the deer lease this weekend setting up their deer stands. So it was fun to have a girl's (and Graham) night. We were saying it won't be long until all Graham wants to do is "guy stuff" with his Daddy, PawPaw, and Uncle Josh. Graham will be huntin with them before I know it. So I guess I better enjoy my time with Graham while I have it.

Graham has his 6 month pictures next weekend. He is trying so hard to sit up and he actually stays up for a little bit. So we're going to have a "sitting up boot camp" this week. I really want him sitting up for his pictures next weekend. Can't wait to post those pictures :)

Here he was trying to sit up tonight :)

Just love him!!!!

Bittersweet

Tomorrow is the start of a new school year. Having taught for three years, I know the excitement that all teachers are feeling right now. I always had so much fun decorating my room and meeting my new students. However, I haven't been getting my room ready, making copies, or even shopping for back to school clothes (not that I don't have plans to shop). Oh, how life has changed. I have a better job now! I am staying home with our son. I will certainly miss everything that a new school year brings, but I am so thankful that I get to stay home with Graham. I know it's not for everyone, but it's definitely that right thing for us. The Lord has blessed us so much and I thank Him everyday for allowing me to be at home. I am already making some big plans for us. I signed Graham up for a fall class. He will be participating in a music and play class at Munchkins' Melodies. The class is for babies and their mothers. So fun!!! I am so excited. Even though I feel a bit of sadness about not teaching 1st grade this year. I am already thinking of all the things I want to teach Graham. So I guess I'll never stop being a teacher. Most of all, I can't wait to teach my son about Jesus! I just want to be the kind of mother, wife, and teacher that the Lord wants me to be. I know that children learn so much from the examples they have around them. I pray I can always be a godly example for my son.

So Graham is sitting in his highchair now. When I put him in it he squeals with delight because he knows that he's about to get food!
Trying to sit up........

He holds his hands while taking a bottle! LOVE IT!!
